As a Filipino-American, I am proud to say that I came from a very diverse country in relation to culture, tradition, ancestry and most especially the food. The country had a long history of trading with neighboring countries and different colonizer (from Spanish to American). But what separate us from neighboring country in Asia is our food. Our food varies from provinces to islands. When you travel in different parts of the country, the food accent changes and it focuses mostly on what crops the place has to offer. Our food was also influenced by the Malayan and Chinese with Spanish touch to it. I think the only thing that makes the country united is by sharing food. Well, I hope you'll enjoy this episode of No Reservations and discover a little bit of our culture.
