PLANNING MY TRIP

raileurope.jpg It's been exciting and challenging planning my trip to Europe. I get so excited looking at the pictures of the countries where we are going and at the same time, it is a challenge to look for hotels and finding the right airlines and train connections. Right now, I have been searching for the right airfare and airline to Heathrow Airport in UK. My cousin lives in Ealing in the London Metro area and Heathrow is the only airport close to her place. I usually go to Airfarewatchdog.com to search for my flights. I use this many times to buy my airfares each time I travel here in the US or whenever I try to compare the cheapest flights availabe. For the trains, I went to Raileurope.com site instead of Eurail.com site. The website will give you a quote and will allow you to reserve your tickets. Their website is too confusing so I would rather call their toll free number in New York Office for a small fee. I prefer to talk to a live person so I can ask question since this will be my first time using the European rail system.

HOME AT LAST

DSC00570ab.jpgJust got back from San Francisco. Almost didn't make it home tonight. Out flight from San Francisco was delayed for 20 minutes due to the bad weather in LAX. When we landed in LAX, our flight was already boarding and when we got to our Gate, the door was closed. The plane was about to take off and they gave our seats to the standby passengers. Luckily, they still let us board the plane but when we arrived in Phoenix, our luggage did not make it to the plane. Oh well, as long as we are home now.

Running in LAX to get to your gate is no fun. In addition to that, we were late already and the TSA were having some emergency drill and everybody had to stop walking and running. Well, what can I say. It's nice to be home and I have so many photos to post.

Got up really early this morning and went outside to look at the view.  This is the view in front of our hotel.  Pretty cool huh?

We are staying at the Radisson in Fisherman's Wharf and our hotel is in front of Pier 33. I believe this is the cruise we are taking to Alcatraz later this morning.
